SCREEN REPAIR / PUBLISHED CHART LOOKUP

Phifer spline size chart lookup

Compare one named frame profile and Phifer screening category with selected cells in Phifer's published spline selection chart. Unlisted combinations remain unlisted—no guessed size.

Match the frame groove, mesh and spline using current manufacturer documentation, then test a short section.
Measurement reference: Match the frame groove, mesh and spline using current manufacturer documentation, then test a short section. Schematic, not to scale.

How to use this tool safely

  1. Verify the frame profile and the actual spline groove; do not identify a profile from the outside screen dimensions alone.
  2. Select the matching screening category; material thickness can change spline fit.
  3. Check the output against the manufacturer's current full chart. The values here are source-published starting references, not an independently measured fit.
  4. Test a short length of mesh and spline in the clean channel. Stop if it deforms or does not seat securely.

What the published entries mean

The chart uses decimal-inch labels such as 0.140 and 0.125. These are spline diameter designations. For example, 0.140 inch is approximately 3.56 mm, but purchasing is usually done using the manufacturer's labeled diameter rather than rounding to a nearby metric size.

What this lookup does not cover

It does not identify your frame from a photo, estimate spline by screen perimeter, verify bent-channel retention or authorize the use of generic spline in a proprietary screen system. The chart may be revised by the manufacturer; check the source on the day of purchase.
